December Blurb - Busy Month

As we head into Christmas it’s fitting to talk about giving and the community at this time of the year. In recent weeks we were delighted to present donations to both the Harbour Hospice and Tui House to support the fantastic work they do. Our clients appreciated the fact that money was going to local people to support them in their time of need.

We are also gathering donations for those who find Christmas a tough time so we are collecting toys and non-perishable food items for the Rodney Women’s Centre and The Coast Families Organisation. It’s heartening to see gifts already coming in from our supportive community. If you have a new present or food donation that you’d like to make, please visit a Harcourts Tandem branch.

In terms of the property market, December is shaping up to be a busy month. We are running auctions right up until 18 December, with some high-quality properties on offer. What we have noticed over the last month is a rise in pre-auction offers as purchasers are keen to get their property goals sorted before the end of the year. This is resulting in some extremely positive results for our vendors.

If you’re thinking of selling your property in the New Year, talk to us before the Christmas break. One of the advantages of this area is the influx of summer visitors – if your home is on the market you may attract a passive visitor who falls in love with your property, plus your listing details are available to those spending their Christmas break actively searching for a home.
